Mount Omuro, with an elevation of 580m, is a landmark of Izu, Ito, and Izu Kogen.
It is a nationally designated natural monument and the largest scoria cone in the Izu Eastern Volcano Group.
From the summit, you can overlook everything from Mount Fuji to the islands of the Izu Archipelago, revealing a magnificent panoramic view.
Furthermore, its beautiful scenery, “Mount Omuro” with its natural curves created by Mother Nature, received the Shizuoka Prefecture Landscape Award of Excellence in the Water and Greenery category.
