Izu Shaboten Zoo is a zoological and botanical garden where you can interact with approximately 1,500 species of cacti and succulents, as well as around 140 types of animals, including capybaras. Recommended attractions include the “Capybara Rainbow Square” where you can feed and interact with capybaras, and the “Animal Boat Tours (additional fee applies)” where you can cruise around the island in the large pond at the center of the park and observe animals living on the island while listening to animal guides.
