Jogasaki

About 4,000 years ago, lava from the eruption of Mt. Omuro formed the Jogasaki Coast. It is highly recommended to take a stroll along the 9-kilometer Picnic Trail and Nature Study Trail. Among the highlights is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, 48 meters long and about 23 meters high, a thrilling spot with breathtaking views. From the observatory at the Kadowaki Lighthouse, which offers a 360-degree panorama, you can enjoy distant views of the Izu Seven Islands and the Amagi mountain range.
In addition to the magnificent scenery, seasonal flowers can be enjoyed: hydrangeas in June, daylilies and Lilium auratum in July, and lovely wildflowers such as Isogiku (Chrysanthemum pacificum) and Tsubaki (Farfugium japonicum) in autumn.
